Light, made by hand

The house

Hands of Atlas makes lamps the old way. Solid brass, raised and pierced by hand in Marrakech, one opening at a time. No moulds, no production line. When the light comes on, the room changes.

The hands

Made by the hands of the Atlas

The name is literal. Every piece is made by maalems, master artisans whose craft has passed from hand to hand for generations. A flat sheet of brass is raised over the anvil, planished, then pierced with a fine jeweller's saw until the surface carries thousands of openings.

There is no mould and no press. Two lamps of the same design are close, never identical. That small distance between them is the point.

One lamp is enough to change a room.

The light

Pattern, cast in warm light

Unlit, a quiet sculpture in warm metal. Lit, the piece disappears into what it makes: geometry thrown across walls and ceiling, soft and alive.

Brass ages the way good leather does. It deepens, takes on a patina, and carries its years well. These are objects made to be handed down.
